Making the Table

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here are a couple of pictures taken as I was making the table from scratch.  No kit or templates.  I did a little research on the internet and got some of the materials on-line.

 
 

I cut the 3/4" 4x8 plywood base and top layer to the oval shape and cut out the center piece to be padded and clothed.  The birch wood top layer has been cut out and glued to the pine race track and here I am cutting the holes for the cup holders.

Starting to look like a poker table now.  All the pieces put together for another fit check before adding the skin.  I still have to cut out the holes for the cup holders on the base layer.

 
 

Putting the pleather on the arm rail.  This is before I cut out the middle section.  You can see the cushion layers.

 
 

Here is a shot of the center piece, the upside down base painted black now with cup holes and the race track.

 
 

Finished!  Just in time for the 2007 Tournament final game.

 
 


 
 

The table is delivered to it's new home.

 
 

Update 2011:  Second table made.  Two tables, no waiting!!
 
 

Update 2015:  The Tables have been moved to their new location. The Monthly Poker Game is under new management.
